pitt&sherry were engaged to provide an assessment of potential inundation levels for Georges Bay, St Helens, NE Tasmania. The assessment considered the potential contributions of river flooding from the George River and the impact that projected changes in rainfall intensity under a high greenhouse gas emission climate change scenario.The assessment incorporated analysis of potential storm surge tides in the bay in conjunction with contributions from wind wave setup and projected rises in sea level resulting from climate change.the outputs incorporated a 3dimensional model presented to council and at a community forum and spatial mapping products for council planning considerations.
