Inspection methodologies are defined by; the requirements of AS2550 – Cranes, hoists and winches – safe use, are incorporated with reference to AS1418 – Cranes, hoists and winches for compliance.

CraneAsyst® features

  • Inspection scheduling
  • Site inspection data capture
  • Rapid risk assessment generation for individual crane components
  • Risk prioritisation & condition reporting
  • Risk based maintenance scheduling
  • Storage of all inventory and inspection data including photographs, reports & manuals
  • Generation of inspection forms
  • Tracking of maintenance costs.

CraneAsyst® management process

CraneAsyst® aids the user to generate inspection and maintenance procedures documentation specific to the crane. Multiple procedures can be defined from planned preventative maintenance through to upgrade works, or pre-use to Major Inspections (10 year mechanical & 25 year structural).

All results from inspection and maintenance are recorded using a risk-based methodology; the methodology can be tailored to meet the customer’s specific risk management work process. Customisable reports are generated allowing the inspection and maintenance status of the crane to be seen. The risk-based reports enable maintenance and upgrade work to be prioritised in order of risk. Inspection and maintenance records are stored in CraneAsyst® to allow defect trends to be determined so that appropriate inspection and maintenance scheduling can be set.
