pitt&sherry recognised as leading PhD employer

In a research collaboration between CSIRO Data61’s Ribit.net student talent platform and the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), pitt&sherry is identified as a leading PhD employer in the category of employers with less than 500 employees, across a range of industry sectors.

The Report draws upon data from the most recent ABS Census, a recent 2019 national survey of 450 PhD scholars and Australian LinkedIn data.  The research covers both public and private sector employers.

This report shows both big industry and small to medium employers are looking for quantitative, analytical and research expertise. Data61’s Professor Paul McCarthy says “the report shows the scope of roles for PhDs is increasingly broad with some of Australia’s most globally competitive firms looking to recruit people from a wide range of disciplines.”

pitt&sherry CEO Dan O’Toole comments; “our people have great market sector and discipline knowledge coupled with strong technical capability. The report recognises that expertise and education is a valuable asset in business. We know this, as our business is based on our specialist knowledge which our clients rely on, day in day out. As an employer, we continue to support excellence in education for new and existing employees.”
