We’re ecstatic to share that the Metro Tasmania – Zero Emission Bus Trials – Implementation Stage project is the ‘National Winner – Sustainable Project’ award at the Australian Institute of Project Management – 2023 Project Management Achievement Awards!

After taking out Project of the Year and Sustainable Project of the Year at the Tasmanian AIPM awards, this is recognition of the fantastic work by everyone involved.

The awards recognise outstanding achievement in program and project management. Head here for the complete list of award winners.

We’re proudly supporting the delivery of this project with Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd. This sustainability project will involve concurrent operational trials of four battery electric buses in Launceston and three hydrogen fuel cell electric buses in Hobart. The project heralds the first commercial use of sustainable green hydrogen in Tasmania and is key to the State’s target of net zero emissions by 2030.

The Hydrogen Bus Demonstration Project is supported by the Tasmanian Government through Renewables, Climate and Future Industries Tasmania.
