Maritime and Coastal Engineering

Australians rely on maritime infrastructure for the movement of key goods and commodities. It is a balancing act between the environmental demands and the impact of building infrastructure at or near the coast.

We work with port authorities, coastal local government authorities and commercial organisations using our capabilities in maritime structures, coastal engineering and coastal zone management.

From design and project management through to inspection, assessment and rehabilitation, our services include:

• Wharf and jetty engineering including structural design

• Design of breakwaters, pontoons, and recreational facilities for marinas

• Inspections, load assessment and asset management for wharf and jetty infrastructure including berthing and mooring structures

• Design of seawalls, revetments and breakwaters barge landing ramps

• Heavy duty port pavements and loading facilities engineering for the rehabilitation and remediation of wharves, jetties and infrastructure
