Overview

Last week, Firmus secured planning approval for its $2.1 billion AI campus in Launceston, marking an exciting milestone.

Our team, led by Andrew Buckley, Katrina Hill, and Malcolm McGregor, played a key role in preparing the planning application.

This project is part of a bold vision to create the world’s first AI Factory Zone in Northern Tasmania, and positions the state as a leader in sustainable artificial intelligence.

The five-hectare development will feature two large server halls, an office building, and supporting infrastructure, designed for 24/7 operations and employing around 30 on-site staff.

Next, we’ll bring our civil, structural, mechanical, environmental, geotechnical, and safe design expertise to the delivery phase.

Congratulations to the Firmus Technologies team on this incredible achievement!
