Across the road asset lifecycle

Our team provides road engineering services for local roads, arterial roads, highways, freeways and access roads for industrial and commercial sites across urban and rural areas. Our work includes road design, pavement engineering and asset management, supporting projects across the road asset lifecycle.

Additionally, we design transport systems and assess opportunities to improve the movement of people and goods through infrastructure planning, modelling and engineering advice. We model junction and intersection performance, prepare independent traffic impact assessments, and develop parking strategies and traffic management plans for events and construction.

We also provide signage and pavement marking design, road safety audits, crash investigations and risk analyses — solutions for new and existing infrastructure.

We provide road engineering, traffic and safety services to government agencies, local councils, contractors and private clients across Australia.

Pavement design

We provide pavement design services for rigid pavements, flexible pavements, and hardstand areas, considering performance requirements, project budgets and whole-of-life costs.

Road geometrical design

We provide geometric road design services across project stages from optioneering and functional layouts through concept development, detailed design, and issued for construction (IFC) documentation.

Road safety

We provide road safety audits (RSA), safe system assessments (SSA), Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) accessibility reviews and assessments, and safety in design (SiD) workshops to identify, assess, and support mitigation of project risk.

Signs and line marking design

We prepare signage and line marking designs with reference to relevant Australian standards, Austroads guidelines, and applicable road authority requirements for the project.

Signal design

We use traffic modelling and operational analysis to provide signal designs. We also use microsimulation tools to test signal phasing options, assess intersection performance and identify potential future capacity requirements.

Traffic impact assessments

Using traffic analysis and modelling techniques, we evaluate network performance, safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency under agreed scenarios. Our assessments support clients to understand risks, quantify impacts, and inform decision-making.

Traffic management plans

We develop traffic management plans for construction activities, maintenance works, and major events. Our services include traffic staging plans, detour strategies, temporary traffic control design, constructability reviews, and stakeholder coordination.

Traffic modelling, planning and concept design

We combine traffic modelling with practical engineering expertise to support transport planning and design decisions. Our team is skilled in use of tools including PTV VISSIM, Aimsun, and SIDRA, to assess traffic networks, intersections, and corridors under existing and future growth scenarios.
